From Mindset to Greeting
Imagine this, you arrive to a party at someone’s home. Once you enter through the door, no one says hello, no one takes your coat and you’re left to roam the hallways to find your way to the appetizer table. How would you feel in that experience? Most of us would say, that was pretty darn uncomfortable. The same is true for customers entering your retail environment. If you don’t take the time to welcome them into your establishment, it’s a recipe for an unpleasant experience and decreased customer loyalty.
The Greeting is the singular most important event when working with customers in a retail environment. After all my visits to clients in retail environments, employees often tell me that what stops them is the fact they don’t think the customer walking in will buy from them.
