An important part of your role as a manager is to create an environment where your team can thrive. This happens when everyone is contributing at their highest levels towards organizational goals. Research shows that people and teams who participate more regularly in “check-ins” and coaching conversations (i.e. “feedback”) outperform their peers on key financial and talent measures, leading to team success. This type of nurturing environment involves developing relationships in which the manager can effectively lead and coach individuals to be highly effective in their roles.
