Pre-tests are administered prior to training and can be used to determine what information to present to the learner. Post-tests are administered after training and can be used to determine how much information has been retained by the learner. Likewise, one of the benefits of a post-test is that you are able to determine the next level of content to provide to the learner. The next two articles will explore how to implement pre and post tests into your elearning design.
