By looking at Kirkpatrick’s Model of evaluation, I break down some of the critical points of evaluating our training programs to ensure yourself and the stakeholders of the company that the training you have developed will be successful and valuable.
Kirkpatrick’s Model is broken into four sections or levels: Reaction, Learning, Behavior, and Results. We are often quick to choose only one or two of these sections to look at our training, but all four are required to fully understand its reliability. Using these sections, you will be able to truly test your training and further, be able to adjust as needed to get it where it needs to be if it falls short.
