Strange as it may seem, a customer complaint can actually be a blessing since it helps you to identify areas of your business where there is room for improvement and creates an opportunity to delight the customer that might not otherwise have existed.
It’s unusual for customers to get excited about ‘satisfactory service’, so when you fix a problem in a way that far exceeds their expectations you earn their loyalty and turn them into advocates – customers who recommend you to their family, friends, and colleagues. So the first thing to do when you receive a complaint is to see it as a chance to shine.
